Activity Sessions for Keystages 3 and 4

How does it work

A round robin session of hands-on activities looking at how telecommunications systems work, the science and engineering that underpins them and the impact they have had on human communication and interaction.

Session length approx 1.5 hours.
Maximum 30 students.

Is Big Brother watching you (and are you bothered)?

A series of activities culminating in a debate about whether or not the increasing accumulation of data about individuals is something that we should be worried about.

Session length 2.5 hours
Maximum 30 students

Protecting your Communications

Hands-on activity which examines the basics of cryptography and how it can be used to protect data in storage and transmission.

Session length approx 2 hours
